Internal Audit Manager - Energy

Operating as a trusted partner the Internal Audit Manager manages Internal Audits across the Group including risk assessment, development of work programs, reporting and resourcing of audits. Through pragmatic and professional behaviours, the Internal Audit team maintain the audit universe, conduct risk assessments, ensure quality assurance on the internal audits performed and communicate with all stakeholders including CEO and CFO of each BU. As integral part of the Audit team the Internal Audit Manager contributes to the overall strategy which is focused on building a modern internal audit function.

Key Responsiblities:

• Lead multiple independent appraisals of operational, financial and other related processes and to make recommendations on how operations may be improved, maintained at a high level or risks more effectively managed.
• Ensure Internal Audit work is of high quality and aligned to the way of working within SHV Energy Internal Audit and IIA requirements. Use Data analytics to provide insight to management and translate into tangible improvement opportunities.
• Lead fraud or one-off investigations, obtaining and analysing evidence and making recommendations to senior management.
• Responsible for maintaining an audit recommendations database and follow up on the completion of agreed improvements.
• Assist the Group Internal Audit Manager to maintain the Audit Universe and develop a risk-based year plan.
• Responsible for writing high impact reports to BU Management Teams and Board members.
• Develop best practices and creative ways to boost the risk and internal control awareness within the BUs.
• Promote and develop good working relationships with all departments within the business, developing best practice and acting as an ambassador in all matters pertaining to risk management and internal control.

• A certified professional auditor qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CIA).
• Experience with one of the Big 4 external audit firms + successful track record in Internal Audit or Risk Management & Internal Control of at least 3 years.
• 7–10 years overall experience.
• Understanding of Audit Management structures and methodologies.
• Demonstrate ability to assist key stakeholders in defining the company’s internal audit strategy and year planning.
• Brings proven skills to effectively, regularly and compellingly report on status of the audit agenda.
• Strong preference for multinational experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
