Senior Business Auditor - Food Production

Vervuld

Summary

In a world with limited natural resources and a growing population, the demand for food is constantly rising. Sustainably meeting this demand poses many complicated challenges. As Senior Business Auditor, you can contribute to our purpose of Feeding the Future by working closely with our operating companies all over the globe, appraising processes and making recommendations, thereby playing a key role in our risk management. If you are a passionate professional with a background in external audit or another related field looking to broaden your horizon in a dynamic, international environment, this is the job for you!

Job description

Nutreco is looking for a new Senior Business Auditor who will work together with the Internal Audit team to fulfil the mission of GIA within Nutreco. The Senior Business Auditor will be responsible for the ongoing review and improvement of various processes throughout our global organisation. This includes topics within finance, but also operations, quality, HR, and more. We conduct all our internal audits with the clear goal of continuously improving processes and minimizing risk – this means that, instead of policing our colleagues, we take an advisory role that is dependent on our ability to connect with stakeholders throughout the business and establish collaborative relationships with them. If you are able to initiate, facilitate and complete the audit plan and stay up to date on discussions with relevant stakeholders (amongst others being management of operating companies, controllers on business unit and operating company level, shared service centres and corporate departments), we are looking for you!

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Plan and execute independent appraisals of operational, financial, and other related processes and make recommendations on how operations may be improved, maintained at a high level or risks more effectively managed.
  • Assist in performing fraud or one-off investigations, obtaining, and analysing evidence and making recommendations to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain an audit recommendations database and follow up on the completion of agreed improvements.
  • Draft concise, high impact reports based on factual data gathered as part of internal audit assignments.
  • Use Data analytics to provide insight to management and translate into tangible improvement opportunities.
  • Assist the Group Internal Audit Manager in preparation of the annual audit plan.
  • Promote and develop good working relationships with all departments within the business, acting as an ambassador in all matters pertaining to risk management and internal control.

What we offer:

A key role in an international, dynamic, and fast paced environment that provides great exposure to senior stakeholders as well as a good work-life balance. You will get to know our organisation inside and out and have the ideal springboard to launch yourself into other exciting roles within Nutreco and SHV in the future. Former team members have transitioned into positions like Country Finance Manager, Internal Control Manager and even CIO.

Working for Nutreco is challenging, varied, and rewarding. We believe that social responsibility, transparency, and sustainability are important for long-term viability. We encourage an open culture with accessible managers, an international working environment with good development and training possibilities.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled communicator with a strong personality, who can build lasting relationships with people across countries and cultures while also spotting their mistakes and pointing out opportunities for improvement in a concise and convincing way.

What you bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, such as external audit.
  • Experience as a (Assistant) Manager (e.g., at a Big Four company) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-30%, usually about 1 week/month.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management.
  • English is required, any additional language (e.g., Spanish, Chinese) is an advantage.

Company description

Every day, Nutreco’s 12,300 dedicated employees in more than 37 countries across the globe relentlessly pursue our purpose of Feeding the Future in a way that ensures sustainability is front and centre in all we do. Our solutions go beyond nutrition – we provide best-in-class advice and technology to help our customers produce more food, in a sustainable way, to feed our growing population. With over 100 years of experience, Nutreco is a global leader in animal nutrition through our Trouw Nutrition division, and in aqua feed through our Skretting division. Our NuFrontiers team works to identify, develop and invest in next-generation breakthrough innovations throughout the value chain. Nutreco is proud to be part of the SHV Family of Companies, unifying over 50,000 people around the world.
